The torreya grandis industry has become one of the leading industries to increase the agricultural efficiency and farmers’ income in Dongyang. Through the support of science and technology and the transformation and application of relevant achievements, the output of torreya grandis from Dongyang has been effectively improved, and the comprehensive benefits of the torreya grandis base have been significantly increased, thus achieving the goal of “making ten thousand yuan for one mu (an unit of measurement ≈ 675 square meters) of mountain”, effectively driving the income of farmers in mountainous areas and providing a solid support for rural revitalization and common prosperity. Up to now, there are more than 160,000 people engaged in the torreya grandis industry in Dongyang, and the cultivated area of torreya grandis is approximately 89, 000mu, of which the production area reaches approximately 35,000mu. The annual output of torreya grandis is more than 1,000 tons, with an annual output value of RMB 350 million yuan, ranking the first in Jinhua for a long time.
