Meihekou, Jilin Province: Pine Nut Exports Rebounded Sharply, and Corporate Orders Were Scheduled for Several Months

“After the mitigation of the epidemic, the export of pine nuts increased rapidly. At present, orders from Europe and the United States have been scheduled until May.” Pan Mingliang, general manager of Meihekou Guanlin Native Products Co., Ltd. told reporter on the 21st day that, the export of pine nuts this year is expected to reach the scale before the epidemic.

Meihekou City, Jilin Province, the base of the Company, is the world’s largest distribution center for processing tree nuts, and the pine nut products sold all over the world account for approximately 60 % of the total global demand every year. In 2022, the total import and export of local pine nuts was RMB 1.58 billion yuan, about three-quarters less than that during the normal year before the epidemic.

Mr. Pan introduced that, in January this year, the Company exported the pine nuts to the European and American markets with a total amount of more than 1 million USD, and the order volume increased month by month in the following months. Now, two facilities have been arranged for the full-load production and processing.
